xcsh_k8s_cluster_role (Resource)
Manages k8s_cluster_role will create the object in the storage backend for namespace metadata.namespace. in F5 Distributed Cloud.
~> Note Please refer to K8S Cluster Role API docs to learn more.
Example Usage
Section titled “Example Usage”# K8SClusterRole Resource Example# Manages k8s_cluster_role will create the object in the storage backend for namespace metadata.namespace.
terraform { required_version = ">= 1.0"
required_providers { xcsh = { source = "f5-sales-demo/xcsh" version = ">= 0.1.0" } }}
# Basic K8SClusterRole configurationresource "xcsh_k8s_cluster_role" "example" { name = "example-k8s-cluster-role" namespace = "system"}Argument Reference
Section titled “Argument Reference”-> Syntax Rule: This provider uses OneOf groups for mutually exclusive options. Fields documented as “Optional Block” use empty block syntax field_name {}, never field_name = true. Boolean attributes (like add_hsts, http_redirect) use = true/false as normal.
🔶 High Risk Operations — Some operations on this resource have high danger level. Destructive operations may require confirmation.
Metadata Argument Reference
Section titled “Metadata Argument Reference”• name - Required String
Name of the K8S Cluster Role. Must be unique within the namespace
• annotations - Optional Map
Annotations is an unstructured key value map stored with a resource that may be set by external tools to store and retrieve arbitrary metadata
• description - Optional String
Human readable description for the object
• disable - Optional Bool
A value of true will administratively disable the object
• labels - Optional Map
Labels is a user defined key value map that can be attached to resources for organization and filtering
• namespace - Optional String
Namespace for the K8S Cluster Role. The F5 XC API restricts this resource to the system namespace; it defaults to that value and may be omitted
Spec Argument Reference
Section titled “Spec Argument Reference”-> One of the following:
• k8s_cluster_role_selector - Optional Block
Type can be used to establish a ‘selector reference’ from one object(called selector) to a set of other objects(called selectees) based on the value of expressions. A label selector is a label query over a set of resources. An empty label selector matches all objects
See
K8S Cluster Role Selector below for details.
• policy_rule_list - Optional Block
Policy Rule List. List of rules for role permissions
See Policy Rule List below for details.
• yaml - Optional String
K8S YAML for ClusterRole
• timeouts - Optional Block
See Timeouts below for details.
Attributes Reference
Section titled “Attributes Reference”In addition to all arguments above, the following attributes are exported:
• id - Optional String
Unique identifier for the resource
K8S Cluster Role Selector
Section titled “K8S Cluster Role Selector”A k8s_cluster_role_selector block supports the following:
• expressions - Optional List
Expressions contains the Kubernetes style label expression for selections
Policy Rule List
Section titled “Policy Rule List”A policy_rule_list block supports the following:
• policy_rule - Optional Block
List of rules for role permissions
See Policy Rule below.
Policy Rule List Policy Rule
Section titled “Policy Rule List Policy Rule”A policy_rule block (within policy_rule_list) supports the following:
• non_resource_url_list - Optional Block
Permissions for URL(s) that do not represent K8S resource
See Non Resource URL List below.
• resource_list - Optional Block
List of resources in terms of API groups/resource types/resource instances and verbs allowed
See Resource List below.
Policy Rule List Policy Rule Non Resource URL List
Section titled “Policy Rule List Policy Rule Non Resource URL List”Deeply nested List block collapsed for readability.
Policy Rule List Policy Rule Resource List
Section titled “Policy Rule List Policy Rule Resource List”A resource_list block (within policy_rule_list.policy_rule) supports the following:
• api_groups - Optional List
Allowed list of API group that contains resources, all resources of a given API group
• resource_instances - Optional List
Allowed list of resource instances within the resource types
• resource_types - Optional List
Allowed list of resource types within the API groups
• verbs - Optional List
Allowed list of verbs(operations) on resources. Use * for all operations
Timeouts
Section titled “Timeouts”A timeouts block supports the following:
• create - Optional String (Defaults to 10 minutes)
Used when creating the resource
• delete - Optional String (Defaults to 10 minutes)
Used when deleting the resource
• read - Optional String (Defaults to 5 minutes)
Used when retrieving the resource
• update - Optional String (Defaults to 10 minutes)
Used when updating the resource
