Statistics APIs
Use this application programming interface (API) reference to find the statistics and analytics available for your F5 Distributed Cloud resources. The tables cover specification-defined queries, related discovery, and retrieval of existing reports. Feature entitlement, resource configuration, access, and telemetry determine which queries return data in your account.
| Resource group | Available information | Required resource or feature |
|---|---|---|
| Application traffic, origins, and service health | Traffic rates, errors, latency, throughput, connections, service graphs, and health scores | Load balancer, origin, discovered service, or service mesh with telemetry |
| API activity, discovery, and security analytics | Endpoint inventory, calls, activity rankings, sensitive data, schemas, and vulnerabilities | API discovery or imported API definitions on a virtual host |
| WAF and application security | Request and rule-hit counters, events, incidents, suspicious users, and security evidence | Web application firewall (WAF) or application security feature |
| Bot defense | Traffic classification, actions, attacked endpoints, automation, known bots, and peer comparisons | Bot Defense protected application and reporting entitlement |
| Client-side defense | Scripts, behaviors, form fields, network interactions, affected users, and summaries | Client-Side Defense protected browser application |
| Device and data intelligence | Device risk, transaction trends, linked accounts, device history, and data summaries | Device Intelligence, Data Intelligence, or Application Traffic Insights |
| DDoS protection | Traffic, top talkers, attacks, alerts, events, mitigations, and transit use | Distributed denial of service (DDoS) protection and protected network |
| DNS | Query metrics and logs, load balancer/pool health, and health changes | Domain Name System (DNS) zone or DNS load balancer |
| CDN | Traffic, cache metrics, cacheability, access logs, and operation status | Content delivery network (CDN) distribution or caching-enabled load balancer |
| Sites, connectivity, cloud networking, and policy counters | Site/node metrics, topology, flows, cloud-connect bytes, policy hits, and session decisions | Connected sites, cloud networks, policy evaluation, or flow collection |
| Kubernetes, workloads, and storage | Workload use, packet/byte metrics, storage capacity, inventory, audit logs, and events | Site Kubernetes cluster or virtual Kubernetes workload |
| Logs, audit activity, alerts, and platform events | Access/firewall logs, audit records, alerts, login events, platform activity, and log-delivery status | Resource logging and access to the relevant namespace or tenant |
| Synthetic monitoring | Monitor health, latency, regional history, events, certificates, and security reports | Configured synthetic HTTP or DNS monitor |
| Billing, consumption, and quota usage | Feature usage, consumption, resource limits, and current quota use | Billing, Bot Defense reporting, or quota access |
Query concepts and measured guides
Section titled “Query concepts and measured guides”Use Query concepts for authentication, identifiers, time windows, rollups, filters, aggregation, pagination, access restrictions, and table conventions.
For measured queries, use HTTP access logs, Load balancer metrics, Origin performance, Application health, API activity, WAF metrics, and Security events. Each resource page describes specification-defined capabilities; available telemetry depends on your resources, configuration, and access.
