- Replace bracketed inputs with your objective, environment, constraints, ownership and available evidence.
- Enable your AI harness’s planning mode before submitting it.
- Review scope, assumptions, proposed steps, risks and acceptance criteria. Resolve material questions.
- Explicitly approve the scoped plan when ready. Keep the same session active through implementation, verification and authorized cleanup.
Planning modes differ. If yours is unavailable, disable write tools and request a written plan with read-only investigation. Prompt wording does not enforce permissions. When an agent cannot inspect your environment, provide evidence and expect it to identify what remains unverified.
Keep credentials and raw evidence private. Live qualification applies to the exact prompt candidate and environment recorded on its page; portability does not guarantee identical outputs or available tools.
Prompt Charity shares useful prompts freely and interprets intent constructively. The philosophical principle of charity asks readers to consider the strongest reasonable interpretation of a statement. Here, that means clarifying ambiguity, recording assumptions and preserving your goals and constraints.
This is the project’s interpretation of the name. The library’s prompts use instructions shared across harnesses and operating systems, beginning with reviewable plans and continuing after explicit approval.
Contribute one English page and one homepage card per use case. Follow the prompt template and use placeholders or synthetic examples in public contributions.
